On October 7, George O'Connor, author and cartoonist visited Providence Middle School. He shared his path to becoming a cartoonist for Marvel and how he researched and created his first series, The Olympians. Mr. O'Connor drew several cartoons for the students and shared his writing process that included multiple drafts of both the images and the text. He talked about his new series, The Asguardians, and highlighted the newly released book, Thor. Mr. O'Connor also met with a small group and showed them his sketchpad and encouraged all future artists to carry one with them.
